Getting Started with Dwel
Here's how to get set up - what your team provides, what it costs, and how to assess whether it's working.
Still weighing up your options? Read the buyer's guide →Start Small, Then Expand
You don't need to commit your whole site to find out if Dwel works for your visitors. Many places start with a smaller area, see how visitors actually use it, then decide what - if anything - to expand. The National Gallery started with a few rooms. Camden Town started with the high street before exploring a wider expansion. Neither committed further than that first space until they had real results in hand.

The process is designed to require minimal input from you. Whatever you already have is usually enough to start: your website, guidebook, floor plan, FAQs, exhibition texts - just upload it and we automatically index and map it to areas around your space. All that's left is to choose the voice, role and personality of your guide. Test immediately and refine before launching. That's it.
How To Promote It
Access to the experience is via QR code - download from our site or produce your own if preferred. A few well-placed, eye-catching posters will do the heavy lifting, supported by staff who know to recommend it and can point visitors in the right direction.

There's no upfront fee. If you plan on charging your visitors you can start on the Basic tier and pay nothing monthly - you keep 55% of any visitor revenue, and Dwel only earns when your guide does. Upgrade to Pro for £89/month to access a bigger revenue share and full analytics included. If you want your visitors to experience your conversational companion for free, you pay a monthly subscription based on your visitor volumes. Either way, you get full access to live usage data and all costs are 100% transparent.

From day one, you get GDPR-compliant analytics on every conversation: what visitors asked, where, how many kept talking and for how long, and what they couldn't find. That's a level of insight audio guides and apps simply don't offer - so even a trial in one area gives you a genuine, data-backed answer to whether it's working, not just a gut feeling.
